Some nice Cwejman S1 mk.2 arpeggios for your listening pleasure!

This recording will be making its way into a track at some point, but I thought it showed off the beautiful combination of the S1 and the Retroverb rather nicely. The Retroverb adds some lovely weight and depth to the sometimes clinical sound of the S1, which is largely down to the excellent Input Gain saturation combined with a brilliant filter.

This was a bit of a "late-night jam" so details are a little bit sketchy, despite having the patch still set up in front of me!

But I'll have a go at detailing it nonetheless:

There are two audio tracks recorded - one is the output of the Retroverb (and starts the recording off), which contains both the Multimode FIlter and Lowpass FIlter outputs. The first sound you hear is the self-oscillating HPF alone, going into the Retroverb - the Retroverb is providing the Env/ VCA action, and the combination of the input signal and the VCA/ Reverb produces a nice plucked sound not unlike a Lowpass Gate. As the recording progresses - starting at around 00:17 in - the LPF output of the S1 is introduced, which is being fed a couple of the OSCs - there is OSC SYNC and FM going on (both OSCS 2 and 3 are synced to the preceding OSC).

The second audio track contains the output of OSC2, which is being fed directly into the wonderful WMD Multimode VCA for some saturation, and then on to the Makenoise Echophon. This can be heard entering proceedings at 00:47, adding a high buzzy sound with delay. The Echophon's Pitch is being modulated by a fast Maths LFO, and some random gates are freezing it sporadically. The Tempo is synced to the main clock. Its MIX is being modulated by the Moskwa sequencer, meaning that it modulates between dry and wet throughout.

The main arpeggio is being produced from within Logic, but there is additional modulation going into the S1 from the 4ms PEG, Turing Machine, and a149-1 (all four outputs). The S1's Envelope 2 is being randomly trigger by the a149-2.

The Retroverb Lancet's LPF is brought in manually after a while, and CV is introduced to it (the output of OSC1 of the S1). It is also fed its internal random LFO, which is being triggered by the audio input.

A ton of manual tweaking takes place throughout, and it was a LOT of fun!

The combination of the S1 and the Retroverb Lancet is highly recommended.
